My experience using MAPS.ME

After installing MAPS.ME and downloading the maps of Andalusia and the Valencian Community in search of a route between Malaga and Alicante, I had the offline mapping I needed to plan my route by car in seconds. From the settings tab, I enabled alerts for fixed speed cameras and speed bumps to avoid any surprises during the journey. When searching for points of interest in Malaga, I found the categorization system quite intuitive and was able to quickly filter for restaurants with typical local dishes to eat the best Espeto in the capital of the Costa del Sol. Additionally, thanks to the 3D building rendering layer, I was able to navigate complex intersections more easily.

What I liked most about MAPS.ME and what could be improved

• What I liked most: The response speed in offline mode is quite good and the possibility of downloading maps by region to avoid taking up unnecessary space on the device's storage. The clarity of the directions for cyclists is also a major plus if you don't solely get around by car. Additionally, I also found the option to show parking lots with just the touch of a button a very useful feature.

• What could be improved: The internal search engine can be a bit strict with exact street names, and the tourist guide interface could be a bit more visual to facilitate faster reading.
